| AzDEO is proud to sponsor two different awards which honor excellence in dance education. The first is the Katherine Lindholm Lane Arizona Dance Educator of the Year Award which was established in 2005. This award recognizes those teachers who not only exemplify outstanding practices in their classrooms but also make an impact on the larger dance education community. |
| The second award, established in 2008, is the AzDEO Bill Evans Excellence in Teaching Award. Named for master teacher Bill Evans, this award honors dance educators who exemplify a variety of best practices in their dance classrooms. |
